Job Summary
To lead and coordinate administrative operations within the Health Service Commission. The role oversees three critical sub-work streams: Assets, Real Estate & Projects; Records, Stores & Security; and Transport & Logistics. The incumbent ensures that administrative systems and resources are efficiently managed, compliant with regulations, and aligned with the Commission’s strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and systems.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational guidance across all sub-work streams.
• Ensure alignment of administrative functions with the Commission’s goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee asset management, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
• Manage real estate portfolios and coordinate infrastructure development projects.
• Ensure compliance with property and asset-related regulations.
• Supervise records management systems and ensure secure handling of official documents.
• Oversee stores operations including inventory control and procurement support.
• Coordinate security services to safeguard Commission assets, personnel, and premises.
• Manage the Commission’s fleet and transport logistics.
• Ensure efficient vehicle utilization, maintenance, and compliance with transport policies.
• Coordinate logistical support for Commission operations and events.
• Supervise and mentor sub-work stream leads and administrative staff.
• Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance and ensure timely reporting across all administrative areas.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Administration/Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or relevant field.
• A Masters degree in Administration, Logistics or related discipline.
• At least 6 years working experience as Deputy Manager or equivalent in a relevant field.
Skills Required
• Experience in public sector administration.
• Knowledge or familiarity with PPDPA.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Planning, coordination, and problem solving abilities.
• Knowledge of asset management, logistics, and records systems.
• Integrity and commitment to public service values.
