Job Summary

To oversee and coordinate performance audit and inspection activities within the assigned region, ensuring that health institutions and programs operate efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with Health Service Commission standards and national regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise regional performance audits and inspections of health institutions and workforce management practices. • Implement audit and inspection frameworks as directed by the General Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. • Collect, analyse, and report on data related to service delivery, resource utilization, and compliance within the region. • Identify operational gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to regional leadership and the General Manager. • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and support capacity building for audit readiness and compliance. • Liaise with health institutions, stakeholders, and audit teams to address findings and promote a culture of accountability and transparency. • Prepare and submit comprehensive regional audit reports to the General Manager, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Health Service Administration/Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or relevant field. • Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health or related discipline. • At least 2 years working experience at Deputy General Manager level or equivalent in a relevant field.

Skills Required

• Significant experience in auditing, performance monitoring, or public sector oversight, preferably in health or government settings. • Analytical, leadership, and report writing skills. • Knowledge of public sector governance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
